Anies: Many Rules Are Bend According To Interests That Are Holding Power, This Must Be Changed

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan immediately spoke about the current state of law in Indonesia. Many rules called Anies are undermined by power.

The legal state places the law as the main reference for a sense of justice to provide benefits and certainty to all. This must be adhered to by the holder of power. But what happens is that many rules are bent according to the interests that are in power. What is being continued? This should not be changed, it must be returned," Anies said in a presidential candidate debate, Tuesday, December 12.

Anies said the order of state administration was not in accordance with legal principles. Changes must be made, said Anies.

"This country is a state of law, not a state of power. Law should be upright but in reality it is twisted, it is sharp downward blunt upwards, we return the law to be upright to all of them," said Anies.
