Chronology Of 2 Members Of The West Sumatra Police Become Victims Of The Eruption Of Mount Marapi

BUKITTINGGI - Two members of the West Sumatra Regional Police or West Sumatra became victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi, Sunday, December 3. Based on the chronology, both of them left when they left the service and intended to take a vacation.

"I declare that there is, there is indeed and the police are humans too, maybe they want a vacation too," said West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Suharyono in Bukittinggi, Tuesday, December 5.

The statement was made by the Head of the Suharyono Police at the Achmad Mochtar Hospital (RSAM) of Bukittinggi City which was designated as the location for the identification of the victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi.

Suharyono revealed that two police officers who were victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi served at the Directorate of Samapta Bhayangkara (Sabhara) of the West Sumatra Police.

The two police officers from the West Sumatra Police left to climb Mount Marapi without direct permission from the leadership.

"I don't know when it will depart, but what is certain is Saturday (2/12/2023) Sunday night. So, this may take time off," said Suharyono.

Inspector General Suharyono suspects that the two police personnel boarded Mount Marapi in a state of absence from the service because the eruption occurred on Sunday, December 3.

Suharyono revealed that two police officers who were victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi served at the Directorate of Samapta Bhayangkara (Sabhara) of the West Sumatra Police.

Previously, the West Sumatra Police had established a Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) post at the Nagari Batu Palamo Guardian Office, Agam Regency to help victims affected by the eruption of Mount Marapi.
