Firli Bahuri Will Be Examined On Wednesday, This Is What Investigators Will Investigate

JAKARTA - The head of the inactive Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, will be questioned again as a suspect, on Wednesday, December 6. The police said that during the investigation later, investigators would investigate allegations of corruption in the form of extortion and gratification against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"(The investigation) is still the same, regarding the alleged corruption that has occurred, which is currently being investigated by the investigative team," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, quoted on Tuesday, December 5.

The examination will be mentioned only in addition from before. Firli is known to have given his statement as a suspect on December 1.

"As a continuation of the examination or request for information from the FB suspect that has been carried out previously," he said.

At the previous examination, Firli Bahuri was asked 40 questions. Investigators are investigating the issue of meetings to assets.

"The suspect was questioned as many as 40 questions," said Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kombes Arief Adiharsa.

Dozens of questions asked by investigators have been fully answered by Firli in about 10 hours. Where, the examination process starts from 09.00 WIB to 19.00 WIB.

Questions from the investigators were also said to include 7 examination materials. Starting from Firli Bahuri's meeting with Syahrul Yasin Limpo to assets and wealth.

"The questions that are put on the rights of the person concerned as a suspect, the events of meetings and receipts of gifts or promises, communication that uses digital evidence," he said.

"The exchange of foreign exchange transactions, positions as KPK leaders and their obligations and prohibitions, assets and LHKPN, as well as assets or assets that are still owned," said Arief.

In the alleged extortion case, Firli Bahuri, who has the status of a suspect, is charged with Article 12e, 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code. Thus, it is threatened with life imprisonment.
