West Java UMK 2024: Supreme Bekasi IDR 5.3 Million And Lowest Banjar IDR 2 Million

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, on Thursday, set the minimum wage increase for districts/cities in West Java in 2024 ranging from 0.63% to 3.97%. Based on the determination, the Bekasi City UMK was the highest with a wage of IDR 5,343,430, while Banjar City had the lowest wages of IDR 2,070,192.3 regions with the highest percentage increase in UMK was Bandung City which rose 3.97% from IDR 4,048,462 to IDR 4,209,309, Depok City from IDR 4,694,493 to IDR 4,878,612 or up 3.92%, and Tasikmalaya City from IDR 2,533,342 to IDR 2,630,951. Meanwhile, the three regions with the lowest UMK increase were Subang Regency from IDR 3,273,810 to IDR 3,294,485 up 0.63%, Cianjur Regency from IDR 2,893,229 to IDR 2,915,102 up 0.76%, and Purwakarta Regency from IDR 4,464,675 to IDR 4,499,768 up 0.79%. The determination of the UMK is contained in Decree Number: 561.7/Kep.804-Kesra/2023 concerning the District/City Minimum Wage. The decision of the Governor of West Java is based on a formulation in PP 51/2023, which adjusts wages to West Java inflation factors by 2.35% and economic growth of each Regency/City.

Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, said that on Thursday, November 30, although this decision was not in accordance with the demands of the labor union, Bey Machmudin considered it a decision that was in accordance with the corridor. The average increase in UMK in West Java 2024 reached IDR 78,909 with a percentage of 2.5%.
