JAKARTA The Overseas General Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu LN) Kuala Lumpur asked Indonesian citizens in Malaysia to actively check their names on the Foreign Permanent Voter List (DPTLN) for the 2024 General Election.

Chairman of the Panwaslu LN Kuala Lumpur Rizky Al-Farizie said the voter list can be seen online so that Indonesian citizens can check their names there.

"Check the DPTonline. Enter the old passport number if you just change your passport. If you register it in Indonesia, enter the NIK. If not, convey it to PPLN (Foreign Election Committee). If it's still not there, tell us (Panwaslu)," Rizky said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 27.

"It's not because he was told to vote, but it's a political right. Use it, so that the level of participation (community) increases," he said.

According to Rizky, Indonesian citizens planning to go to Kuala Lumpur, need to register to move to vote first.

"If it is not registered with the DPT, there may be a special DDPT and can still channel voting rights at TPSLN by bringing electronic ID cards and meeting other requirements, such as a letter of assignment from the company," he said.

For special DPT (DPK), said Rizky, only 2 percent of the number of DPTLN is provided.

Therefore, he appealed to Indonesian citizens to actively check their voting rights independently so that they can immediately take care of their transfer status in order to enter the Additional Voter List (DPTb).

He said there were concerns that if too many voters in the DPK, ballots would be less or an hour before the Overseas Voting Station (TPSLN) was closed, instead there was a pile of voters.
