Explosion At Cisarua Market, Bogor, Police Intervene

The Cisarua Police are still investigating an explosion that allegedly came from a 3-kilogram LPGG gas cylinder at a herbal medicine shop in the Cisarua Market area on Monday, November 27 morning.

Cisarua Police Chief Kompol Eddy Santosa stated that his party was examining the owner of the herbal medicine stall, Roly Yusnami.

From the provisional statement, Roly usually closes his stall at 12 pm and leaves a 3-kilogram gas cylinder in the kiosk.

"It is very likely that the explosion that occurred was caused by the leaking gas," said Eddy in his statement, Monday afternoon.

In a number of CCTV footage and amateur videos spread through social media, it was seen that the explosion of 3 kilograms of gas at the Cisarua market complex had caused panic among residents.

The severity of the explosion caused various materials to be thrown away. A motorcyclist was also recorded as having fallen unconscious due to the explosion.

The explosion occurred so quickly from a herbal medicine stall when residents were starting morning activities. Sunan Wahid (45), a chicken porridge trader who was selling in front of a herbal medicine stall, initially thought the explosion came from his gas cylinder.

"So my sister and I are preparing to open, when we were cleaning up the table, suddenly there was an explosion. My desk was thrown," said Wahid.

However, it turned out that the explosion did not come from his porridge stall, because at that time his gas cylinder had not been brought. It turned out that the explosion came from a herbal stall where it was hanging out.

As a result of this explosion, a motorcyclist who was passing was shocked and immediately rushed to the hospital.
