Anies On Supporting Pramono: Not Trying, Not Experiments

JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan revealed the reason for finally supporting the Jakarta cagub-cawagub pair Pramono Anung-Rano Karno in the Jakarta gubernatorial election before the campaign period ended.

This was revealed by Anies when he participated in blusukan and greeted residents with Pramono in Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta.

"Anyway, now we continue to socialize, and I want to emphasize that choosing a pram mas is not a trial for me. Not an experiment. Because I know, I know his mind, I know his track record," said Anies, Friday, November 22.

According to Anies, Jakarta needs a governor who is firm but stable, calm, and polite. It also takes a governor whose expression is to unite and communicate with all, all circles.

This criterion, Anies' value was fulfilled by Pramono. Anies knew this because he had known and worked with Pramono for more than 30 years.

"That's what I saw in Mas Pram. That's why I hope that later he can lead the government in Jakarta and can unite everyone," said Anies.

Continuing, Pramono admitted that he was grateful for Anies' alignment with him in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. The former Presidential Secretary is optimistic that the opportunity to win the Jakarta Pilkada with Rano Karno in one round will be higher after being supported by Anies.

"Hopefully in real terms, on the 27th (November voting day) later, supporters of Mas Anies, Abah's son who is now part of us, can really help me for the 27th," he explained.
