JAKARTA - Former KPK spokesman who is now Syahrul Yasin Limpo's lawyer, Febri Diansyah, admitted that he had not received an official notification regarding the prevention of traveling abroad proposed by the KPK. He just found out from the news.
"Regarding prevention abroad, I have not received an official notification yet," Febri said in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, November 8.
Even so, Febri ensured that he would fulfill the summons of each anti-corruption commission requiring information as well as two colleagues, Rasamala Aritonang and Donal Fariz.
"We certainly carry out our duties as advocates with good faith and professionalism," he said.
"If there is any information needed from us as advocates, we will definitely come to the KPK. What is certain is that until now, the mentoring process is running properly," continued Febri.
Previously reported, the KPK asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent three lawyers from leaving the country for six months. Prevention was carried out in connection with alleged corruption of former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
It was not specified who the three people were. However, the Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said prevention was carried out so that they could be easily questioned.
In this case, KPK investigators have summoned three lawyers from the Visi Law Office. They are Febri Diansyah, Rasamala Aritonang, and Donal Fariz.
