Honda Recall 11,652 Car Units In Indonesia Due To This Problem

JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor announced the recall or replacement of components in several models, namely Honda Civic, All New Honda CR-V and All New Honda Accord.

The problematic components include steering gearbox and high pressure fuel pump, which involves a total of 11,652 vehicles, with production years from 2021 to 2024.

Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Yusak Billy, revealed that Honda is always committed to customer safety and comfort.

"Therefore, we are taking this proactive step to ensure that Honda vehicles still meet the quality and safety standards that we have set," he said, in his official statement received, Friday, December 3.

If in more detail the issue of the gearbox steering component involves 7,623 units consisting of, the Honda Civic RS, the 2021-2024 production year, the Honda Civic Type R, the 2023 2024 production year, the All New Honda CR-V, the 2023 2024 production year.

The above problems have the potential to experience problems such as abnormal sounds. The process of replacing these components is estimated to take about 1-4 hours.

Meanwhile, the High Pressure Fuel Pump component, which has the potential to smell fuel in the cabin room. A total of 4,020 units of vehicles were identified in this program, with details of the All New Honda Accord RS e: HEV, 2024 production year, All New Honda CR-V RS e: HEV, 2023 2024 production year. The examination process or replacement of the High Pressure Fuel Pump is estimated to take about 1 hour.

There are steps that consumers have to take, namely by checking the frame number and being able to check directly those affected on Honda's official website.

Responding to the problem above the identified vehicle owner can contact or visit the nearest Honda authorized dealer to register and schedule inspections or replacement of components. Inspection or replacement of components can be carried out starting from Friday, January 3, 2025, and done without any charge.
