PATI - The acting regional heads in Central Java Province will be evaluated for their performance every three months related to neutrality in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

"Some time ago we were gathered by the President and the Minister of Home Affairs that all ASN including regional heads must be neutral. They must not play practical politics and it will be evaluated," said Acting Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana during a working visit to Pati Regency as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 6.

Acting governor of Central Java reminded regents or mayors in Central Java to carry out their duties in accordance with their main duties, including helping to maintain security and regional order.

"If in its development it is found that ASN or acting regional head is involved or involved in practical politics, then the person concerned will be subject to strict sanctions," he said.

According to him, the commitment to neutrality has also been circulated by ASN within the Central Java Provincial Government some time ago.

"Central Java Province is committed and has pledged, we have the right to vote, but we don't play practical politics," he said.

Regarding the preparations for the 2024 General Election, the Acting Governor of Central Java continues to establish synergies and collaborations with various parties in maintaining security, order, and smoothness.

State civil servants within the Central Java Provincial Government signed an integrity pact as a form of commitment to maintaining ASN neutrality at all stages of holding the 2024 General Election.

Responding to this, the Coordinator of the Human Resources Division and the Central Java Bawaslu Organization Muhammad Rofiuddin considered this effort to be a good step in maintaining the neutrality of ASN.

"The data shows that in the Central Java Provincial Government, there are very few cases that Bawaslu has to do with the neutrality of ASN," he said.
