JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Johanis Tanak reminded law enforcement officers to be careful. Handling cases that are carried out must also be in accordance with the law.

This was conveyed by Johanis in response to allegations of extortion by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

This investigation was carried out in the midst of efforts by the anti-corruption commission to investigate allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture.

"I think in enforcing the law law law law enforcers must be careful and careful in handling criminal cases as mandated in the Criminal Procedure Code and not rash in responding to a legal problem," Johanis told reporters quoted on Tuesday, October 10.

Johanis reminded the head of the anti-corruption commission that there were five. So, if there are suspects in the alleged extortion, the five leaders will now be named.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya has upgraded the status of the alleged extortion case committed by KPK officials to SYL to the investigation stage. The decision was based on the results of the case title.
