BULELENG - A resident named Nyoman Werdiasa, a customer of a state-owned bank, sued the Singaraja District Court (PN), Buleleng, Bali, because the savings money in his account disappeared or disappeared Rp248 million.
Nyoman Werdiasa through his attorney, Gede Erlangga Gautama, filed a civil lawsuit with Singaraja District Court with lawsuit number 635/Pdt.G/2023/PN Sgr on Tuesday (3/10).
"It has been submitted to the Singaraja District Court, on Tuesday and the inaugural trial on October 24, 2023. The parties being sued are BRI and OJK as defendants," said Gautama, Thursday, October 5.
Initially his client opened a BRI Simpedes account at BRI Banyuatis, Buleleng in October 2016. Werdiasa's last balance reached Rp248 million.

"My client got an SMS, there were funds coming out but SMS was a bit strange. Because he was curious he checked the email and in his email it was true that the amount that came out was Rp. 248 million plus the transfer fee," he added.
The victim had opened the BRimo application but could not be accessed. The victim also went to the BRI Banyuatis office asking about the loss of money in the account.
"On Monday, we checked that the remaining Rp100,000 was empty. Based on the print out and the savings book, it turned out that it was true that the funds had come out suddenly without the victim's consent," he said.
Regarding this incident, the victim felt that he did not get a satisfactory answer from the bank. The victim also sued the court.
"Our complaints and complaints regarding our losses at the OJK were only forwarded to BRI. It was continued at forward and BRI replied, the answer from BRI was forwarded to us again. Finally, we sued the Singaraja District Court, basically using the consumer protection law," he said.
