After meeting Surya Paloh, Minister Of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo Will See Jokowi Today

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) is said to be meeting President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Jakarta State Palace today, Thursday, October 5.

This plan was announced after Yasin Limpo met with top NasDem officials, one of whom was NasDem General Chair Surya Paloh. The meeting took place at NasDem Tower, Jakarta last night.

"Thirdly, I was asked to convey that tomorrow (Thursday 5 October) the Minister of Agriculture will go to the Palace to meet the President," said Syahrul Yasin Limpo's attorney, Febri Diansyah, to reporters, Thursday, October 5.

So far, Syahrul Yasin Limpo's intentions and objectives for facing Jokowi have not been clearly conveyed.

Although, information is circulating that the NasDem politician will submit his resignation as Minister of Agriculture.

"What we were told earlier was that tomorrow the President will meet with the President at the Palace, so that's what we can only confirm and convey today," he said.

 

Febri claimed that what he knew was limited to legal assistance for Syahrul Yasin Limpo who was suspected of being involved in an alleged corruption case.

"What is certain is that this legal team will accompany the legal process that will take place from today onwards at the investigation stage," said Febri.
