Change The Leaking 3 Kg Gas Cylinder, The Body Of A Man In South Jakarta Caught Fire After Being Hit By An Explosion

JAKARTA - A man named Suparman suffered burns of up to 30 percent. He was hit by an explosion due to a gas cylinder that had a leak. Not only burned in the body's wound, his house was damaged.

Cilandak Police Chief, Kompol Wahid Key said the incident occurred at the Jakan Puri Mutiara 1 rented house in No.52, Cilandak, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 12, at 16.30 WIB.

"Yes, that's right, for the time being, the results of the examination at the TKP (scene of the case) are suspected of having a leak," Wahid said when confirmed, Wednesday, September 13.

Wahid explained that the incident started when the victim intended to replace the 3 kilogram gas (Kg) with a new one. However, when the tube was installed, there was a gas leak.

"The victim's wife had soaked into a bucket in the bathroom but it was still leaking and emitting gas. The wife had warned not to continue but the victim was still installing a gas cylinder. And finally when the stove was turned on, suddenly an explosion was heard," he said.

Due to this incident, Suparmin suffered burns of up to 30 percent. Not only that, the rented house was damaged, but not too badly.

"For the condition of the house, there was indeed damage, but not too big. The victim was taken to Pasar Minggu Hospital. The burns were 30 percent," he concluded.
