Held Ratas, Jokowi Discussed The Jakarta Specialty Bill With Related Ministers

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a limited meeting (ratas) to discuss the Draft Law (RUU) on the Participation of DKI Jakarta with relevant ministers and officials.

"Just the meeting about it, the matter of the DKI Bill (Speciality) (Jakarta)," said Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono briefly to reporters after the meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 12, which was confiscated by Antara.

Not much information was conveyed by other officials after following the meeting led by President Jokowi.

Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa when asked for his statement asked reporters to ask the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), or Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.

Meanwhile, Heru Budi, when asked for his statement, said that the draft DKI Special Bill would still be discussed with the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian.

"No, it will still be discussed with the Minister of Home Affairs," said Heru.

Heru said technical matters in the DKI Jakarta Specialty Bill would be explained by the Minister of Home Affairs.

Meanwhile, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas said his party was fixing the State Civil Apparatus Bill.

According to Azwar, specialties related to personnel in Jakarta will be regulated in the ASN Bill.

"For example, professionals who will be appointed in Jakarta special areas do not need to be regulated in the regulation, yes, because later the ASN Bill will provide space for certain institutions to raise non-ASN at certain levels," he said.
