JAKARTA - Candidate for governor of Jakarta number 1, Ridwan Kamil admitted that he had his own moves to reduce pollution as well as the mobility of the people in Jakarta. RK promised to increase the workspace in the suburbs of Jakarta.

"We will increase the number of workspaces in the suburbs, so that there are alternative residents to live, work, recreation at close distances. That will reduce movement which will also reduce pollution," he said in the Third Debate of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada, Sunday, November 17, 2024.

The former Governor of West Java also emphasized that tree planting is still needed to overcome pollution problems in Jakarta. RK even conveyed the commitment of the RIDO pair to reduce the average temperature by two degrees for the reduction in pollution levels.

The tree planting is not only done on the side of the road, but will also be done on top of an office building in Jakarta. So that the effect of greenhouse gases can be reduced. Why is it hot, why pollution? Most buildings, mostly concrete, lack of trees. Now this will be in the 1 billion 1 RW budget, some of which will be reforestationed simultaneously by 2700 RW," explained RK.

As is known, the Third Debate of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada has the theme Urban Environment and Climate Change.
