The Atmosphere In Front Of The Sultan Hotel Appears Quiet From Supporters Of Paslon Cagub And Cawagub In The Third Debate Of The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - The atmosphere in front of the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, was observed to be quiet during the third debate of the Jakarta gubernatorial election which took place on Sunday, November 17, evening.

From VOI's observation, at around 20.00 WIB, several supporters of the candidate pair (paslon) for governor and deputy governor number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) were scattered on the road right in front of the Sultan Hotel.

There is also a command car unit equipped with loudspeakers belonging to the mass supporters of the RIDO Paslon. Through the loudspeaker, the supporters continued to sing with the chants to support the RIDO candidate.

"Don't forget to choose number one, bro RIDO," said a woman singing in the command car, Sunday, November 17, evening.

Meanwhile, several supporters of candidate pair number 3 Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) were also seen gathering in front of the Sultan Hotel lobby.

The crowd wearing orange shirts carried props in the form of flags. They gathered at one point without giving chants support for the Pram-Doel candidate pair.

The last debate between the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor in the 2024 DKI Pilkada carries the theme "City and Climate Change".

The problem of flood management, settlement arrangement, and waste management is included in the scope or sub-them of the third debate.

Previously, it was reported that the Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed thousands of joint personnel to provide security ahead of the debate between the three Candidates for Governor (Cagub) and Candidates for Deputy Governor (Cawagub) Jakarta at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta on Sunday, November 17, evening.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said security was carried out comprehensively to support the smooth running of all stages of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"We have deployed 1,516 joint personnel. We ensure that all aspects of security can be maintained properly and that there are no threats that can interfere with the event," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Sunday, November 17.
