DKI KPU Urges Political Parties To Immediately Open Special Campaign Fund Accounts

The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province appealed to political parties participating in the general election (election) to immediately open a special account for the 2024 election campaign funds.

"We urge political parties participating in the 2024 General Election to immediately open a Special Campaign Fund Account (RKDK)," said Head of the Technical Division of the Implementation of the DKI Jakarta KPU Election Dody Wijaya at the Coordination Meeting for Facilitation of the Opening of the RKDK Political Party Participants in the 2024 Election reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 8.

Dody explained that the opening of the RKDK was carried out since political parties were appointed as election participants until one day before the campaign period began, namely November 28, 2023.

In addition, the mechanism related to the opening of the RKDK is that political parties simply submit a letter of application for the opening of the RKDK to the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU.

After that, the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU will make a letter of introduction to the opening of the RKDK to the intended bank according to the letter of application for a political party (parpol).

Based on PKPU Number 18 of 2023 concerning the General Election Campaign Fund, RKDK is an important component in the use of campaign funds.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU has conveyed the opening of the RKDK since the establishment of a political party participating in the 2024 General Election.

For this reason, this meeting was held to remind that the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU is ready to facilitate political parties that experience problems and need assistance in the opening of the RKDK.
