JAKARTA - Maintaining physical fitness and body flexibility is often a challenge in itself as you get older. However, not all types of heavy exercise such as high-intensity aerobics or dynamic movements with complex choreography can be followed by all circles.

As a solution for safe and flexible physical activity, Senam Bogor Bugar is now an alternative group exercise that is considered safe and can be followed by children, adults, and the elderly.

The characteristics of the Bogor Fit Gymnastics emphasize a simple, rhythmic, orderly body movement, and involve many parts of the body thoroughly.

His movement is designed systematically by combining heating, stretching, coordination exercise, breathing, muscle strengthening, to cooling. Unlike aerobics or line dance, the intensity of Bogor Gymnastics is also adjusted to the physical ability of each individual.

This adaptive nature is evidenced in the community fitness event organized by Cabin Peduli at Cabin Bogor, Baranangsiang, Bogor, on Sunday, August 9. More than 150 people from across generations gathered to follow the movement guided by instructors.

This activity is held as part of the company's social responsibility program to build healthy living habits in the community.

Roida as an instructor explained, the practicality and health benefits are the main advantages of this gymnastics movement. According to him, this sport is ideally done regularly to maintain flexibility and function of the body's joints.

"Ideally, it is done 3-5 times a week, with a duration of about 30-60 minutes each session. For beginners or the elderly, it can start from a shorter duration, for example 20-30 minutes, then gradually increased according to body condition," said Roida in his statement.

He added that in addition to training breathing and heart fitness, regular gymnastics is crucial in maintaining the range of motion of the body as you get older.

"Regular gymnastics and stretching exercises can help maintain or improve flexibility and joint range of motion. This is important because as people get older, they tend to experience a decrease in muscle flexibility and joint mobility if they are not active," he added.

In terms of facility needs, this fitness sport is very friendly for anyone because it does not require expensive equipment. Participants are only advised to wear comfortable and safe clothes when doing physical activities.

"In general, gymnastics like Bogor Bugar does not require special equipment. More importantly, use comfortable clothes, not too tight, and allow the body to move freely, as well as appropriate footwear if gymnastics is done outdoors," said Roida.

Regarding its effectiveness for losing weight, Roida emphasized that calorie burning depends on duration, weight, and intensity of movement. Gymnastics can burn dozens to hundreds of calories, but this burning must be supported by a healthy lifestyle as a whole.

"Senam Bogor Bugar can be part of a weight loss program, because it helps increase energy expenditure and maintain fitness. However, to effectively lose weight, gymnastics should be combined with a balanced diet, regular physical activity, adequate sleep, and a healthy lifestyle," he said.

On the other hand, the organizer made this sports activity as a momentum to strengthen mutual relations as well as handing over assistance for supporting facilities for local communities. Andrew Susanto, Chairman of the Cabin Peduli CSR Program, conveyed his commitment to encourage physical activities that bring direct benefits to the environment.

"Cabin Peduli believes that a healthy community is the foundation for a strong environment. Therefore, we not only invite residents to exercise together, but also present fun activities so that a healthy life spirit can grow into a habit," concluded Andrew Susanto.

Through the implementation of the Bogor Fit Gymnastics, Cabin Peduli hopes to continue to encourage the community to implement a healthy lifestyle, strengthen the spirit of togetherness, and present various social programs that have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
