Police Arrest 22-year-old Youth Specialist In Gas Cylinder Thief In Mukomuko

MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko Police, Bengkulu Province, arrested DK (22) a resident of Sidodadi Village, Penarik Raya District for stealing three kilograms of LPG gas cylinders. "The Penarik Raya Police personnel who arrested the suspect on Wednesday at a shop owned by a resident of Mekar Mulya Village, Penarik District," said Mukomuko Police Chief AKBP Nuswanto in Mukomuko, as reported by Antara, Thursday, September 7. The arrest of this suspect is based on the police report number: LP/B/6/IX/2023/SPKT/Polsek Penarik Raya/Polres Mukomuko/Polda Bengkulu dated September 6, 2023. After receiving reports from the public, the Penarik Raya Police personnel who were in the jurisdiction at the scene of the incident conducted an investigation and chased the suspect. "We managed to catch this suspect while hiding at his uncle's house on Wednesday," he said. Currently, the suspect is still being investigated by investigators for the development of the case. The suspect was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 5 years.

The evidence that was successfully secured was six three-kilogram gas cylinders. The victim, who is the owner of the shop, suffered a loss of around Rp. 1.2 million.
