Anwar Ibrahim Until Xana Gusmao Arrives In Jakarta Present At The ASEAN Summit

Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim and his companions arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Monday (5/9/2023) (ANTARA/HO-Presidential Secretariat).

JAKARTA - A number of ASEAN state prime ministers have been present in Jakarta to attend a series of meetings at the 43rd ASEAN 2023 Summit chaired by President Joko Widodo from 5 to 7 September 2023.

Reported by ANTARA, five heads of state were reported to have arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Monday, September 4.

They are the Prime Minister (PM) of Timor Leste Kay Rala Xana Gusmao who arrived today at around 07.50 WIB.

The arrival of PM Xanana Gusmao was welcomed by the Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar and Expert Staff of the Minister for Talent Management of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Tatang Musttqin.

Next is Vietnam Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh who arrived at around 10.35 WIB. Vietnam's PM was greeted by Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and Vietnam's Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong.

One hour later, Cambodian Prime Minister (PM) Hun Manet and his companions arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and were greeted by ranks of honorary troops and traditional dances.

The welcoming team consisted of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and the Cambodian Ambassador to Indonesia Iv Heang.

At 13.20 WIB, it was the turn of the Prime Minister (PM) Laos Sonexay S▁putradone and his companions to arrive in the country and be greeted by ranks of honorary troops and traditional dances.

Also welcoming the arrival of the Laos PM, among others, the Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar and the Expert Staff of the Minister for Institutional Relations and the Community of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Muhammad Adlin Sila.

Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim and his assistant reportedly arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, at around 15.20 WIB. The arrival of PM Anwar and his assistant was welcomed by the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi.

Previously, Islands Prime Minister Cook Mark Brown arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, on Sunday (3/9) at 19.25 WIB. PM Mark is scheduled to attend the 43rd ASEAN Summit in his capacity as Chair of the Pacific Island Forum (PIF).

PM Mark Brown was welcomed by the Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transportation Novie Riyanto in the Naratetama room of Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

The country's leaders are scheduled to attend the ASEAN 2023 Summit at the Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta, from 5 to 7 September 2023.
