NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah Begins To Care For Goods Ahead Of His Term Of Office Ends

West Nusa Tenggara Governor Zulkieflimansyah began packing his belongings from the official residence (pendopo) and the governor's office on Jalan Pejanggik, Mataram City, towards the end of his term of office on September 19, 2023.

"Yes, we have packed it up because it has to end soon, there are a lot of cooking that must be transported immediately. So, slowly we will transport it," said Zulkieflimansyah as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 4.

Zulkieflimansyah admitted that he did not feel heavy leaving his position because this phase had to be treated as mediocre.

However, he was reluctant to comment further on his activities after he no longer served as Governor of NTB.

"From the beginning, it's just like this, we live it. There is no position forever, there is an beginning, there is an end and it is usually treated," he said.

Previously, the NTB Provincial DPRD held a plenary meeting with the agenda of bringing up the dismissal of Governor Zulkieflimansyah and Deputy Governor of NTB Sitti Rohmi Djalilah.

The announcement of the dismissal was read by the Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD Nauvar Furqoni Farinduan. This announcement is based on Article 79 paragraph 1 of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government.

Then article 23 e of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2005 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 6 of 2005 concerning Election, Ratification of Appointment, and Dismissal of Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads, and Presidential Decree 155/p of 2018 concerning Ratification and Appointment of Governors and Deputy Governors of NTB for the term of office 2018-2023.

"The governor and deputy governor will continue to carry out their duties until 19 September. However, I advise you not to issue strategic policies that can disrupt regional stability and conduciveness," said NTB DPRD ChairmanBaiq Isvie Rupaeda.

President Joko Widodo has also appointed the Regional Secretary of NTB Province Lalu Gita Ariadi as Acting Governor of NTB replacing Zulkieflimansyah.
