MATARAM - Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati NTB), Nanang Ibrahim Soleh, confirmed that the investigation into the alleged corruption case of physical projects and the withdrawal of levies at PT Air Mineral Giri Win (AMGM), will continue. "The road means that it is still under investigation. So, it cannot be opened, later when I have fingerprints, I will open it," said Nanang in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 26. During the investigation process, two regional heads underwent examination at the NTB Prosecutor's Office on Langko Street, Mataram City. Both are the Mayor of Mataram and the Regent of West Lombok who is the spearhead of the shareholders of PT AMGM. Regarding the examination, Nanang assured the Adhyaksa Corps to continue to prioritize independence and caution in every case handling involving regional heads, more specifically seeing the 2024 election contestation that began to emerge. "So, I really called everything, but it was only an investigation, because there was a report. It turned out that there were many interests, so I said, my hand cannot be borrowed to buy people, I don't want to play politics, I am upright," he said. By conveying this, Nanang reiterated that the investigation into the alleged corruption case of PT AMGM, which is now under the handling in the special criminal field, continues to process. "So, wait for the game date," he said. The examination of the two regional heads which took place at the end of June 2023 was related to the allocation of capital participation from the Mataram City Government and the West Lombok Regency Government to PT AMGM. From a series of investigations into the case, he was also present to provide information from the Director of PT AMGM, Lalu Ahmad Zaini. This case entered the investigating table of the NTB Prosecutor's Office starting with a public report. In the report, the problematic project is related to the management of the 2019-2020 budget. According to reports, the work was related to the installation of a concrete panel fence at the Sembung "Water Treatment Plant" (WTP) and the procurement of wells at 10 location points. In addition, there are also allegations of corruption in the construction project of the production equipment building, salt building, reading section room, building and interior completeness of the PT AMGM Branch Office in the Narmada area, West Lombok Regency. According to the reporter, there was a volume shortage in a number of project work items in 2019-2020 with a value of at least IDR 1 billion.

In addition, the complainant suspects that there has been misappropriation of the budget and abuse of positions related to the collection of waste retribution payments. According to the reporter, the collection of waste levies has been included in one account of the PT AMGM customer bill.
