JAKARTA - After PDIP determines Ganjar Pranowo as a Presidential Candidate, who is waiting for who will become the next vice presidential candidate for Ganjar. The same thing is also awaited for Prabowo and Anies Baswedan. According to political observer Rocky Gerung, determining the current vice president is no longer a matter of pride but a matter of price.

A number of names have been mentioned by Puan Maharani at the PDIP Rapimnas III event. There are Sandiaga Uno, Mahfud MD, Erick Thohir and Airlangga Hartarto. The question is who will really be appointed to accompany Ganjar Pranowo to fight in the 2024 presidential election? That is what cannot be revealed at this time.

"So the current vice presidential nomination depends on the price, about price. Things that are electoral calculations can be canceled by envelope calculations. It depends on how large the number of envelopes is. So now it depends on price, not pride," he said when attending the SpeakUp Era.com event at the VOI Media office, Tanah Abang III, Central Jakarta, Thursday, June 8.

Among the current presidential candidates: Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo and also Anies Baswedan, according to Rocky, no one is dominant, therefore they need a partner who can help add votes to the presidential election later.

"The many voices mentioned were from among NU. That's why it was sought by the vice presidential candidates who represented the nahdliyin. This is very different from when SBY advanced for the second period. Because his electability was already above 35 percent, he didn't care anymore with anyone who accompanied him. Finally, Budiono was taken, who people didn't know him much. During the presidential election, the SBY-Budiono pair became the winner too," he said comparing.

Currently, the names who will enter the presidential and vice-presidential exchange are competing to enter the NU pockets. "Just look at Erick Thohir entering the NU. Sandiaga Uno is the same way. The consideration of Ganjar and PDIP if they finally accept Sandiaga Uno as vice presidential candidates according to the man who is usually called RG because of his financial ability.
