KSAD Maruli Receives Lemhannas Honorary Alumni, Evaluated to Strengthen National Resilience

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Army (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak received the Honorary Alumni of the National Defense Institute (Lemhannas) RI. The award was given after Lemhannas assessed the leadership and various TNI AD programs under his command contributed to strengthening national resilience.

The award was pinned directly by the Governor of Lemhannas RI TB Ace Hasan Syadzily at the Lemhannas Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (30/6).

Ace Hasan said the determination of the Honorary Alumni Mark was carried out through a comprehensive assessment process. KSAD Maruli was judged to meet the indicators in the eight dimensions of Asta Gatra which became the basis for national resilience development.

A number of TNI AD programs are part of the assessment. Among them are strengthening the value of ideology, commitment to maintaining TNI neutrality, the construction of bridges in various regions to increase national connectivity, to the TNI's kinship program with the community.

In addition, the TNI AD is also considered active in supporting Lemhannas through the provision of data needed in the preparation of the National Resilience Index.

"As an institution, the Indonesian Army has also provided support to Lemhannas RI in the form of data needed to strengthen the National Resilience Index," said Ace Hasan.

KSAD Maruli said that the award was not just a form of appreciation, but a trust to increase dedication to the nation and state.

"I feel honored and this is a responsibility. Lemhannas is a prestigious higher education. Hopefully I can take care of this and apply it in the future," he said.

KSAD also assessed that the Lemhannas alumni network needed to be strengthened to support various government strategic programs. According to him, inter-agency collaboration is an important factor so that development in the region runs more effectively and provides direct benefits to the community.

The awarding of this Honorary Alumni Mark also confirms the synergy between Lemhannas and the Army in strengthening national leadership and facing strategic challenges in the field of national defense.
