Complete Dossier, Prospective Priests of Obscene 14 Minors in NTT Immediately Trial

NTT - Alor Resort Police stated that the dossier on cases of sexual violence against 14 minors with the suspect being a candidate for a priest with the initials SAS or P21 was complete.

"The case file has been transferred to the Kalabahi District Attorney", said the Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police Commissioner Ariasandy in Kupang, NTT, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 3.

This was conveyed by Ariasandy when he was confirmed about the development of cases of sexual violence carried out by prospective priests with the initials SAS against dozens of minors in Alor Regency.

The immoral act of the SAS suspect was carried out by the priest while on duty from May 2021 to March 2022. The SAS suspect committed the immoral act in the church where he served.

Ariasandy said the transfer of the case files was carried out by the Alor Police last week after all the case files were declared complete.

"After being handed over, the prosecutor will first examine a number of the case files, if they are still incomplete, they will be returned and asked to be completed", said Ariasandy.

In this case, the SAS suspect was charged with Article 81 paragraph 5 in conjunction with Article 76 letter d of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. The suspect was also charged with a weighting article because the victim was more than one person.

In addition to being threatened with death or life imprisonment, the suspect is also threatened with imprisonment for a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years.

In addition, SAS is also threatened with being charged with Article 27 paragraph 3 of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) because the suspect recorded or made videos and took pictures of his victims before and after carrying out his disgraceful act.
