SERASI Banyuasin Corruption Case, South Sumatra Food Crops Agriculture Service Office Searched By Attorney General's Office

SUMSEL - A team of Investigating Prosecutors for the Special Crimes of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office searched the local Office of Agriculture, Food Crops, and Horticulture on Tuesday, July 19 afternoon.

The office that was searched was located on Kapten P Tendean Street, Ilir Timur 1 District, Palembang City.

"Yes, a search is underway at the South Sumatra Agriculture Service Office", said the Head of the Legal Information Section for the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Mohd Radyan when confirmed in Palembang, Tuesday, July 19.

The forced effort was carried out to search for hill tools related to the alleged corruption case of the Selamatkan Rawa Sejahterakan Petani/ SERASI (Save Rawa Prosperous Farmers in English) Program (SERASI) in Banyuasin Regency.

The SERASI program, which uses financing from the Ministry of Agriculture in the 2019 State Budget, is suspected of having deviations in its implementation so it is currently under investigation by the South Sumatra High Court.

"The budget goes to the South Sumatra Provincial Agriculture Office, then the implementation is carried out by the Banyuasin Agriculture Office, which is currently being investigated", he added, according to Antara.

The search was carried out by the South Sumatra Prosecutors' Prosecutor's Team, which consisted of more than three people.

The investigation team started the search sometime after arriving at the location opposite the South Sumatra Provincial Government Building, on Tuesday afternoon at around 09.00 WIB until 12:23 WIB the activity was still ongoing.
