MALUKU - The Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police (Polda) Grand Commissioner Pol M. Roem Ohoirat said the Maluku Police had received 62 reports of public complaints (dumas) from various agencies since January 2022.

He continued, of the 43 reports that have received responses, 32 of them have been declared completed; while the other 11 reports are still in the process stage.

"Of the 43 reports that were responded to, 11 of them are still in process; while 32 have been declared completed, with the results that six of them are correct, and 26 are declared incorrect (no violation occurred)," he continued.

According to him, the 62 reports were received from various agencies, such as Itwasum Polri, Komnas HAM, Ombudsman, Kompolnas, YLBHI, advocates or lawyers, forums, community groups, and individuals.

"Dumas reports received from Itwasum Polri contained five complaints, Komnas HAM four, Ombudsman three, Kompolnas five, YLBHI three, advocates 14, community groups three, and individuals 25 complaints," he said.

To note, the Dumas report received by the Maluku Police consists of two public service reports and has not been followed up.

Furthermore, reports related to personnel were 20, and 18 of them have been followed up. Of the 18 reports that were followed up, eight of them have received responses, two others are still in the process, and the remaining six have been completed with two declared violating and four not violating.

While related to criminal investigations, the Maluku Regional Police received 36 cases, of which 35 have been followed up; while the land/house complaints received were three cases, one of which has been followed up and the results are not correct.

"People who feel aggrieved please report it, of course accompanied by the existing evidence, and we will handle it professionally in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation," he said.
