Not Accepting That Tender For Formula E Circuit Construction Called Failed, Jakpro: Not Failed But Retender

JAKARTA - The tender process for the construction of the Formula E circuit which had previously been opened was declared a failure. This notice can be seen on the Jakpro e-Procurement website.

However, President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Widi Amanasto denied that the tender auction for the electric car racing track was called a failure. He calls it a re-tender.

"It's not a failure, it's a retender," said Widi in a short message, Tuesday, January 25.

Widi said, today the tender auction process has been carried out again. However, he did not reveal how long the tender would take to determine which construction company would build the track.

"For details, ask Mr. Gunung as Managing Director of Formula E," said Widi.

Separately, the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, considers that the process of organizing Formula E so far has not encountered any significant problems despite the issue of failed tenders.

"The Formula E is technically no problem. Ask Jakpro," said Riza.

Previously, Managing Director of Formula E PT Jakpro Gunung Kartiko targeted that in early February the winner of the tender had been determined, so that the construction of the circuit would be carried out immediately.

"God willing, in early February there will be a winner and it has started. Our target is three months. So February, March, April, it is hoped that it will be completed and the implementation will still be in June," said Gunung.

Gunung explained that the implementation of the Formula requires a cost of IDR 150 billion. Part of the budget has been used to purchase equipment for the construction needs of the track construction.

"The total track construction fund is around IDR 150 billion. Some of it, around IDR 70 billion, has been used to buy track equipment since 2019," said Gunung.
