According to him, the fateful ship piloted by Sudirman Marua (51) with the help of Sahril Defenubun (20) departed for Leksula from Sekat Village, Head Madan District, South Buru Regency, at around 04.00 WIT.

While in the waters of Kabat Island, the side of the ship was hit by waves and water entered the ship.

The incident made passengers jump out of the ship to save themselves.
