Inpatients At The Wisma Athlete Hospital Increase By 21 People

JAKARTA - The number of patients being treated at Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Special Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Kemayoran, Jakarta, increased by 21 people.

"Inpatients confirmed positive (COVID-19) in Towers 5 and 6 were 2,636 people, while the original number (one day earlier) was 2,615 people. Inpatients increased by 21 people", said Head of Information for the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, was quoted by Antara on Thursday, January 20.

He said that from March 23, 2020, to January 20, 2022, the number of patients referred to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital was 135,058 people.

Of that number, 130,754 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital, while 1,072 patients were referred to other hospitals.

He noted that 596 people died at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital as of January 20, 2022.

In addition, Aris conveyed the development of the situation at the Galang Island Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI), Batam, Riau Islands.

The number of inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital, Thursday, was 81 people.

"81 inpatients are consisting of 47 men and 34 women. A total of 81 patients were all confirmed positive for COVID-19", explained Aris as quoted from his written statement.

Aris said that in the last 24 hours inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital were reduced by 20 people.

"As of January 20, 2022, there were 81 inpatients, originally (one day earlier) 101 people", he said.

From 12 April 2020 to 20 January 2022, the Galang Island Hospital received a total of 18,352 patients. Of that number, 18,270 patients have been discharged from the hospital, he said.

Galang Island Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI) reported that until January 20, 2022, one patient died from COVID-19.
