JAKARTA - The Education Office of Tasikmalaya City, West Java implements face-to-face learning (PTM) in a limited manner with a time-sharing system of two sessions, namely morning and afternoon entry hours because it is still a pandemic and many students have not received the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Stay at 50 percent position, in one day the morning session and afternoon session," said Tasikmalaya City Education Agency Head Ely Suminar when contacted by reporters in Tasikmalaya, reported by Antara, Monday, January 10.

She explained that the government, through a joint decree, invited local governments to hold 100 percent PTM in every school on the condition that the vaccination achievement in the area had met the target.

However, the Tasikmalaya City Education Office, she said, is still implementing PTM with a time division of two sessions so that there are not too many crowds in one class.

"We are still related to the pandemic, so we don't dare 100 percent for PTM," she said.

She said the reason for not daring to be 100 percent was because the achievement of vaccination for children and the elderly was still low, so the solution was still limited by dividing the time into two sessions.

"So 100 percent it hasn't hit us because the vaccine has just started," said Ely Suminar.

The head of SD Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya City Court, Titi Setiawati, stated that her school was in accordance with the instructions to implement a limited PTM by dividing the time into two sessions, morning and afternoon.

The regulation, she said, was only implemented in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, in the previous semester learning was carried out partly online, then face-to-face.

"Now it's no longer online, nor are parents refusing to be online," said Titi Setiawati.
