BYD Registers N9 SUV Patent, Launch Soon?

JAKARTA - Build Your Dream (BYD) seems to want to increase its car lineup in India, through its subsidiary Denza is expected to present an N9 SUV.

Quoting from Rushlane's website, Friday, January 3, the luxury brand which is also predicted to be present in Indonesia this year officially registers official patents in India, and shows its launch intention to compete with Kia EV9.

Previously, the flagship SUV was officially introduced in November at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024, the model is claimed to be the culmination of this Chinese brand of efforts to strengthen Denza as a luxury car brand.

Denza N9 is positioned above the N7 and N8 models, the model (N9) comes with two versions, namely Plug in Hybrid and also a pure electric variant, which makes it an attractive option to launch in many global markets, including Indonesia.

Looking again at the specifications, this bongsor SUV design comes with a magnificent touch, especially supported by a 22-inch rim option that makes it look dashing. This car comes with a 2+2+2 seating layout.

In dimensions, BYD Denza N9 PHEV with a length of 5,258 mm, width of 2,030 mm, height of 1,830 mm, and wheelbase of 3,125 mm. For the purely electric version, it is estimated to have a slightly different dimension.

The version of PHEV N9 is powered by a 2,000 cc gasoline engine and three electric motors that drive the front and rear wheels with a total output of 680 kW (911 hp). Battery power comes from lithium iron phosphate 47 kWh.

Meanwhile, for the EV version, Denza N9 also has a three-motor setup that is slightly more powerful with a total output of 710 kW or 952 hp, and uses a battery type of blaze.
