West Java Police: Bahar Smith Is Still A Witness

BANDUNG - Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Grand Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, said Bahar Smith, who is currently undergoing examination at the West Java Police, Bandung, is still a witness.

Even though he is a witness, the legal process of the case is already at the investigation stage. According to him, Smith was examined accompanied by two attorneys.

"So today's examination (Bahar) is as a witness," he said, at the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the West Java Police as reported by Antara, Monday, January 3.

According to him, Smith's investigation was carried out dynamically by investigators, so he had not yet received a report on how many questions were asked to Smith.

"So until now, we have not been able to determine how many questions were given to the person concerned," he said.

Meanwhile, Smith was present at the West Java Regional Police at 12.13 western Indonesia time with his legal team. In addition to the man with long blonde hair, the police also examined the man with the initials TR as a witness who was suspected of uploading a video of his hate speech.

He was reported for alleged hate speech at a lecture in Bandung Regency with letter number B 6354/12/2021 SPKT PMJ 2021.
