Good News For All Of Us, DKI Provincial Government Will Present Air-conditioned Public Transport In January 2022

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing air-conditioned micro trans services, in the form of city transportation (angkot) equipped with air conditioning. It is targeted that the air-conditioned public transportation will be paved at the beginning of next year.

"According to the target, the air-conditioned micro trans will be operational in January. The fleet for the AC micro trans plan, our target is around 60," said Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, to reporters, Wednesday, December 29.

Syafrin revealed that the plan for the air-conditioned micro trans which is integrated with Jaklingko is to be placed at commuter line KRL stations to equalize train service facilities for its passengers.

"Currently, we have identified only about three structuring stations that can be fully integrated. So they are at Tanah Abang Station, then in Tebet, and later in Gondangdia," said Syafrin.

The capacity of this air-conditioned micro trans can be filled by 9 to 11 passengers, and is equipped with seat belts.

Then, the air-conditioned micro trans will be equipped with 4 CCTVs in its fleet. "The provision of CCTV is expected to provide a sense of security to passengers and drivers in using this air-conditioned micro trans," said Syafrin.

Furthermore, there is a monitor screen that can display visuals from CCTV available in air-conditioned micro trans fleets to monitor routes and promotions. Other facilities, this air-conditioned microtrans has an automatic passenger door to make it easier for passengers to get on/off the vehicle.

In the car, there will be a glass breaker hammer that can be used in an emergency. To make it easier for passengers, the air-conditioned microtrans will have running text that displays the route. Running text is located on the front, left and rear of the fleet.
