JAKARTA - Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP Ari Setyawan Wibowo explained that the celebration of Persib Bandung's victory which was carried out by thousands of supporters in Sukabumi, West Java was safe.

"We appreciate that Persib Bandung supporters in the midst of euphoria celebrating Persib's victory over Madura United can still maintain a conducive situation and not disturb the security and comfort of the citizens," said AKBP Ari Setyawan, Saturday, June 1.

According to Ari, after it was confirmed that Persib would become the champion of Liga 1 2023-2024, a number of supporters of the eleven who were the pride of the West Java residents had carried out euphoria by taking to the streets such as convoys using motorbikes.

Anticipating unwanted things, his party mobilized personnel to monitor and escort Bobotoh (Persib supporters' fans) who took to the streets. However, the euphoria action did not last long and they also orderly dispersed and returned to their respective homes.

His party appreciated the supporters of Persib Bandung in Sukabumi, even the event to watch together at the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters was lively and received enthusiasm from the community.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Sukabumi Police Traffic Unit, AKP Fiekry Adi Perdana, said that his party was escorting thousands of Persib Bandung supporters who spilled onto roads in the Palabuhanratu area, Sukabumi Regency and its surroundings.

The motor vehicle convoy carried out by thousands of Bobotoh had crossed a number of points in the capital area of Sukabumi Regency and headed to several beach attractions.

During the celebration party, his party did not find or receive reports of accidents or non-criminal cases and it was confirmed that the convoy of thousands of weights took place safely.
