JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the chronology of alleged abusive practices in organizing the Formula E electric car racing event in DKI Jakarta. All parties are asked to be patient because the investigation process has just begun.

KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto said that his party is currently working on compiling a chronology of the implementation of an international racing event where corruption is suspected. This arrangement is done by asking for information and looking for information that is then linked to one another.

However, Karyoto is reluctant to say much considering that the corruption allegation is currently still under investigation. This stage is not discussed much by the KPK because it is usually only limited to gathering evidence and information from related parties.

"As for my standard, I don't want to talk. But because there are many circulating, in principle we are indeed conducting an investigation. If any investigation is available, of course, we will net it, we will link it later, we will sew up the chronology and others," he said. Karyoto in a press conference broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube, Wednesday, November 10.

He said that this chronology was important because the alleged fraudulent practice occurred in connection with the procurement project. However, Karyoto asked the public to rush the KPK to investigate this allegation.

He said the KPK needed time to work. When the preliminary evidence is sufficient to advance to the next stage, of course, all information related to this case will be made public.

"Let us do the work and later on in time, we will certainly convey it to the community. So it is true that we are conducting an investigation," he said.

In an effort to compile this chronology, the KPK will also review and review the 600-page document submitted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on Tuesday, November 9.

The documents submitted by the Head of DKI Jakarta Inspectorate Syaefulloh Hidayat, President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Widi Amanasto, and DKI TGUPP member Bambang Widjojanto contain plans and the latest developments of Formula E.

"The investigative team will examine and review the document in detail and in depth to obtain information and data needed in the process of investigating this case," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters.

Not only that, but the anti-corruption commission will also summon a number of parties who are considered to have knowledge of the alleged robbery in the process of carrying out the car racing event. Ali said this summons was needed to expedite the legal process and to make light of the case being investigated by the KPK.

"KPK hopes that the relevant parties will continue to cooperate with the following processes if further information and confirmation are needed. This is merely to facilitate the legal process for the sake of justice and clarity of a case," he said.

"We invite the public to continue to monitor and supervise the work of the KPK so that efforts to eradicate corruption continue to have a real impact on the community," concluded Ali.
