DPR Plans To Visit General Andika Perkasa's House Later This Afternoon

JAKARTA - Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) has officially approved General Andika Perkasa to be the National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander to replace Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto. After yesterday's fit and proper test, Commission I of the DPR will visit General Andika's house to conduct factual verification this afternoon.

This was stated by a member of Commission I of the PPP Party faction, Syafullah Tamliha, who admitted that he also participated in the factual verification. "God willing (to go to General Andika's house) at 4 pm," Tamliha told reporters, Sunday, November 7.

Tamliha also revealed that there were 14 members who attended the factual verification. Among them, 5 leaders of Commission I and the Head of the Faction Group (Kapoksi) as many as 9 people.

"Commission (I) leaders are five people and Kapoxi are nine people," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission I had approved General Andika Perkasa to become the TNI Commander after a fit and proper test on Andika.

"Giving approval for the appointment of the Candidate for the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, as the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces," said Chairman of Commission I of the House of Representatives Meutya Hafid, Saturday, November 6. After it was approved, General Andika also thanked him. That way, the fit and proper test is complete and the results will be immediately brought to the plenary session on Monday, November 8.
