Scorpions Wants Young Musicians To Play With Happiness

JAKARTA - Klaus Meine (vocals) and Rudolf Schenker (guitar) from Scorpions have important messages that can hold on to young musicians in their music careers.

As musicians who have careers for more than five decades, they advised young musicians to believe in their own abilities.

"The advice is to believe in yourself. Yes, believe in yourself and make something that makes you happy," Schenker said, in a recent interview on Sidewalks Entertainment.

The guitarist said the message was a similar message he got when he was young from his father.

My father, when I was young, saw me think about what I could do. And then he said, 'Hey, make what you like and the money will come by itself,'' continued the 76-year-old guitarist.

"Just follow your heart and enjoy rock and roll music," said Meine.

Music has been a joy for Meine and Schenker. So it's no surprise that they will continue to work with Scorpions for more than five decades.

Most people work their whole life just to make money. No, I really make music because I want to enjoy music," Schenker said.

"And I found the right person with Klaus, and now we have Mikkey Dee (drums), a very strong man who joins the band, Matthias (guitar) and Pawebhis (bass). And it's fun. It's fun. That's the point. Have fun. Don't waste your time with people you don't like."

For information, Scorpions will return to the Las Vegas Strip in 2025 for an exclusive residential show to celebrate the band's 60th birthday.

The show titled "Scorpions - Coming Home To Las Vegas 60th Anniversary Las Vegas Residency" will begin on February 27, 2025 at PH Live, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

They will also be accompanied by Buckcherry as a special guest.
