JAKARTA - It has been seven years since Giring Ganesha left Nidji. Recently, the 41-year-old singer decided to continue her musical career as a soloist by launching an extended play (EP) with the title "Serigala".

Given that Nidji's image as Nidji's vocalist is so strong, Giring admits that he wants to be a soloist with different branding.

"It's different (from the previous one). From the stage, the songs, everything is different," Giring told the media crew in Kuningan, South Jakarta recently.

Giring is well aware that the song he plays as a soloist is the key to distinguishing himself at this time when compared to when he was Nidji's vocalist.

"I believe whatever branding, the key is in the song. The song is related to people, people like it and are fined, surely God willing, it can be successful," said Giring.

"And I want to be different, total, from Nidji. I really think about the stage concept, and it must be in-lined with (albums) what I will release in 2025," he continued.

For information, Giring Ganesha's latest EP contains three new songs, namely 'Serigala', 'Dare', and 'Candu'.

Meanwhile, 'Serigala' as the main track, discusses the theme of betrayal from those closest to you, which is described as a wolf with a human mask. This song captures the feeling of being trapped in a world full of fakes, where friends become an unexpected source of injury.

Despite suffering, the character in this song tries to maintain his love as a principle of life in the midst of darkness. "Singigala" is a reflection of how a person faces betrayal and continues to try to stand firm with the principles of love in the midst of a poisonous environment.

Next, 'Dare' is an inspiring song to face separation and life change with courage. Giring invites listeners to dare to admit differences and accept the fact that not all relationships can last forever.

This song advised to continue dancing and burning even in sadness, and to dare to be reborn after facing grief. 'Dare' reminds that loss is part of the journey, and that what is lost can always be replaced with new, better things.

The last song, 'Candu', Giring explores the addictive side of love. This song tells of someone who finds escape and healing in love with his lover. A loved one is likened to an addiction, which is the center of life and coverage of the passion of life.
