Green Day Invites Spectators To Take The Stage Up To Sing Together

JAKARTA - Tens of thousands of people sang with Billie Joe Armstrong (main vocals, guitar), Mike Dirnt (bass, vocals), and Tré Cool (drums), at a concert titled Green Day Live in Jakarta which took place at Carnaval Ancol on Saturday, February 15 evening.

Opening the appearance at exactly 20.00 WIB with the song 'The American Dream Is Killing Me', Green Day made the audience sing together from the start.

From the stage, Billie invited the audience to enjoy the show.

"Save your phone, no need to record, it's not needed right now," said the 52-year-old musician.

"I want everyone to sing, jump, everyone, from the front to the back there," he continued.

The show is getting more and more lively. Green Day continued its appearance with material from the album 'Docoie' (1994), such as Welcome to Paradise, Longview, Basket Case, and She.

Almost half an hour of the concert running, the audience who had arrived since the afternoon seemed not to relax their spirits.

From the stage, Billie asked a spectator to go up on stage.

"I need someone. Someone please get on stage," Billie said.

Then Billie looked into every corner of the audience, he chose someone, and asked the crew to help him get on stage.

A woman wearing a hijab appeared on stage with a big smile. Without hesitation, she complied with Billie's request to sing the song "Know Your Enemy" together.

Meanwhile, the performance, which was promoted by Ravel Entertainment, was attended by tens of thousands of spectators from various regions in Indonesia.

Green Day performed for 105 minutes with a total of 24 songs, ranging from fans' favorite songs from the 1990s, to material from their last album 'Saviors' in 2024, such as The American Dream Is Killing Me, Dilemma, and Bobby

The songs from the American night' album made the audience excited the most. Almost all the songs from this album were performed, including American night, Holiday, Bouledvard of Broken Dreams, St. Jimmy, Give Me Novacaine, Letterbomb, Wake Me Up When September Ends, and Jesus of Suburbia.
