Frequent Concert Attendee, Chua Kotak Shocked to Hear Concert Ticket Tax Discourse

JAKARTA - Swasti Sabdastantri alias Chua also responded to the discourse on excise concert tickets which was in the spotlight of music lovers. The KOTAK bassist admitted that he was surprised when he found out about the discourse.

"Honestly, I, as a concert connoisseur, was also a bit shocked," Chua Kotak told the media crew in Cilandak, South Jakarta some time ago.

"But as good citizens, we actually just follow if it's for the best," he continued.

Chua sees that there will be many music lovers who object if the excise duty for concert tickets is actually realized. However, he felt he could not do much about the discourse.

"I also don't know what to comment on, because we can't do anything, except at the same time to make a petition, I don't know, then suddenly changes the regulations," he said.

Furthermore, Chua said that the discourse must also be balanced with the experience experienced by concert audiences. He felt it would be unfair when the price of the concert ticket was getting more expensive but the comfort for the audience was not increased.

"Sebagai penonton itu sebenarnya memikirnya kenyamanan. Seperti misalnya menonton itu nyaman, enggak berdudukkan, terus fasilitas toiletnya bagus. Jadi benar-benar dipikir dengan matang," ujar Chua.

We will definitely be happy, as long as we like the artists we watch. It's the same if we watch concerts abroad, we buy expensive prices, because we like it.
