JAKARTA - Scott Stapp says he has hopes that Creed will write new material.

In a new interview on the SiriusXM Trunk Nation radio show on Thursday last week, Stapp discussed the upcoming Creed reunion tour with host Eddie Trunk.

A question about the possibility of new music from Creed then prompted Stapp to reflect on the process of writing the band's song in the past.

[Gitary] Mark [Tremonti] and I together a few days ago did something like, something secret I couldn't share, "he said, as described by Blabbermouth.

"But we were hanging out for a few days and while we were hanging out, we started talking about how we wrote [our 1999 album] 'Human Clay', and we wrote 'Human Clay' while on the 'My Own Prison' tour."

"And we wrote it, at soundcheck, 80 percent, 90 percent of the footage was written on stage during soundcheck," he continued.

"And you know what we're going to do? We're going to write a song and we're going to finish it tight and play it within three or four days of writing it, because we don't have enough material with just one album to be the headliner. But we're going to be the headline of the show, so we don't want to fill our set with cover songs. So we wrote quickly and played new songs, when we wrote them."

Stapp concluded by revealing that he and Tremonti were inspired to write together again after telling this experience.

"I can see in his eyes, and I also feel that I think there will be some songwriting going on and it will be organic and I think it will be beautiful, my friend, if we go back to that place and that chemistry, which I think we will come back to that once we start playing these songs together and we reconnect through our relationship, through the songs we created together."

I think we are all in a new space and I believe creativity will flow. So I think there is still hope for the presence of a number of new musics.
