JAKARTA - Some time ago, a three-line SUV leaked image circulated from Toyota which will soon arrive in 2024. The car is referred to as a Hybrid Fortuner.

Of course this invites various reactions from various parties. Moreover, this car is rumored to be carrying hybrid technology. However, the news and images circulating on the timeline turned out to be hoaxes.

The images uploaded by India's Auto Reels account on Instagram and several Indian media have low resolutions are only the result of computer engineering.

Launching from Drive, Thursday, July 20, the design of the SUV is also not a leak from Toyota. Furthermore, the image appears using the same body as the current model.

There are many similarities between the current Fortuner model and those in the image. Some of them are rims that already exist in the Toyota Fortuner 2023.

This digital illustration takes from the design elements of a number of the latest generation models from Toyota, accompanied by a rough and too open look. This is done in a neat and clever way so that it has succeeded in manipulating a number of automotive or media enthusiasts.

Although the latest Fortuner model is currently caught being tested with a camouflage sticker, the illustration image is not Fortuner 2024.

Although the public has been lied to regarding this false illustration, it can be ascertained that Toyota will soon launch a mid-hybrid technology car with a diesel engine that will add to its electrification lineup.

Currently, Toyota provides some of its hybrid technologies for some of its models, including the Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV), which may be present in the Hybrid Toyota Fortuner.

The plan is that the 48V battery with the electric motor generator will be combined with a 2.8 liter 4-cylinder engine taken from the previous generation of Fortuner, just like the Toyota Hilux MHEV which was tested on the sidelines of the Kenyan WRC.

In addition to increasing fuel efficiency and reducing emissions, this configuration also increases driving ability and reduces noise and vibration in cars.
