PBNU Suggests A Kayuman Named God To Change Name In Today's Memory, August 26, 2015

JAKARTA Memories of today, nine years ago, August 26, 2015, the Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, Said Aqil Siradj suggested that a man from Banyuwangi named God change his name. He said that the name the man with the woodman's profession was unethical.

Previously, the viral polemic of a man named God shocked the virtual world. The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) took a stand. They asked God to immediately change or add to the name of God. The name is considered to have the potential to destroy a religion.

Name is prayer. That's what people understand. However, when parents give the name God, what prayers are they trying to convey. That's what the general public view when guarding social media is shocked by a man named God.

God himself is a carpenter from Krajan Hamlet, Kluncing Village, Licin District, Banyuwangi, East Java. He admitted that there was nothing special or special about his name. The name was indeed given by his parents.

People around him think the name is normal. God admits that no one asks questions, neither jokes. God has ever felt his unique name. While his own family has quite familiar names in society: Aisyah, Ainan, Isroti, Alipah, June, and Nasiah. Later he was mediocre.

The East Java MUI also spoke up. They appealed to Banyuwangi residents to ask God to change their names. Otherwise, God is asked to take the name at the beginning or end of his name. If this condition is allowed, it is feared that it will lead to wrong interpretations.

MUI then appealed to civil registration officers to immediately withdraw God's identity card. The goal is that the owner of the name cannot access public services until his name is changed or added.

God responded to the warning. He considered nothing wrong with the name of the gift of his parents. The name is already in all the documents. Changing God's name is the same as changing everything, from diplomas and others.

"Don't let humans be given the name of God. God can use his name as long as the word is added in front of him, for example Abdullah. It's God's name, because in front of him is Abdu, then become a servant of Allah."

He explained, ethically religiously, the use of God's name in humans is inappropriate. Because God is a substance that is believed to be. The polemic of God's name also reached the vicinity of Said Aqil Siradj. The chairman of PBNU also asked God to change his name on August 26, 2015. He considered the name unethical. People will be strange to hear when there is someone named God.

Even so, Said revealed that God's name did not violate Islamic law. This means that Said only asked God to change his name. The goal is that no more strange people will hear someone named God and not make fun of him.
