Recovered From COVID-19, INFINITE's Sunggyu Is Ready To Work

JAKARTA - INFINITE's Sunggyu was declared cured of COVID-19 after being first diagnosed positive on June 27.

Today, Wednesday, July 7, DHTNE as the agency that oversees Sunggyu shared the latest news on their artist. When he first tested positive, he was taken to a special residential area and received treatment according to medical advice.

"As of today, July 7 (Wednesday), he (Sunggyu) has been declared recovered from COVID-19 and released from self-quarantine. Thanks to the attention and support of many people, Kim Sunggyu is back in good condition", the statement quoted by Soompi.

Previously, Sunggyu tested positive in the midst of preparations to appear in the musical Gwanghwamun Love Song. He had been vaccinated with Janssen but he tested positive and was asymptomatic.

The staff and players who interacted with Sunggyu were asked to do tests and self-quarantine.

Currently, several Korean artists are being hit by COVID-19. Besides Sunggyu, there is Minhyuk from NOIR who tested positive for COVID-19. Minhyuk, who is currently starring in the musical On Air - Spin-Off, had to temporarily stop his activities.

In addition, there is actress Cha Ji Yeon who was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 while preparing for the musical Red Book. His musical co-stars such as SF9's Inseong and Kim Sejeong took the test and the results were negative.
