P Diddy's Attorney Proposes Guarantee To Be Free Ahead Of The Latest Trial

JAKARTA - P Diddy or Sean Combs put forward a guarantee to be released the day before the trial which was held on Thursday, October 10.

On Tuesday, October 8, Alexander AE Shapiro filed a guarantee to be released for the second time to the United States Court. However, the request for guarantee was rejected considering the trial would soon be held.

However, he was offered limited conditions that must be complied with to prevent possible risks of escaping or danger. The court rejected guarantees of freedom for Combs.

"Mr Combs is considered innocent. He went to New York to surrender because he knew he would be charged. He took steps to show that he intended to confront and oppose the allegations, not run away," read the guarantee document.

He put forward a clear guarantee that would stop him from harming anyone or contacting any witnesses. Under the Guarantee Reform Act, 'Freedom is a norm, and detention before trial or without trial is a carefully restricted exception," he continued.

P Diddy or Sean Combs was arrested at the Manhattan Hotel on September 16 on suspicion of extortion, provision of prostitution, sex trafficking transportation. He is being held at the Brooklyn Detention Center.

Diddy first filed a guarantee on September 17 but was refused. The legal counsel filed for the second time on September 18 and was again rejected.

The schedule for P Diddy's latest trial will be held on Thursday, October 10.
