Amanda Stenberg Not Surprised The Acolyte Failed To Continue, Admits Many Fans Star Wars

JAKARTA - Amanda Stenberg was not surprised to learn that the series The Acolyte was not continued by Disney+. The platform says the spin-off series from the world of Star Wars will not be developed into a second season.

Through his Instagram account, Stenberg himself felt not surprised because he felt a negative effect from fans, especially Star Wars fans.

"I will be transparent and say this is not surprising to me. We have received a lot of hatred since the series was announced," said Amanda Stenberg.

Citing Variety, The Acolyte series received praise from professional critics, but that didn't stop it from getting protests and hate campaigns from fans.

This really had an impact on me when I first got the role. Because this is not something, even though I thought this was happening - it's not something you guys could understand until you experience it, "explained Stenberg.

"However, I feel touched in various ways, including being very vocal about myself. It is undeniable, at some point, to continue to be yourself, I have to respect myself," he said again.

Despite the situation, the actor Osha was delighted to be able to participate in this project and meet many new people in it.

"It's a dream and an honor for me to be in this world. Of course, I was very sad to know the series didn't continue. I just want people out there to support us vocally regardless of the hatred we receive," said Amanda Stenberg.

"I can say we accept it as we feel appreciated. And make this job feel worthy to me," concluded Stenberg.

The Acolyte ended its first season last July. The series, which ended hanging, made the public suspect that there was a continuation in this series, but Disney+ did not proceed to a second season.
