Called To Play The Film Adaptation Of Britney Spears' Memoar, Emma Roberts: It's A Beautiful Dream

JAKARTA - Emma Roberts is said to be considering playing Britney Spears in the film adaptation of her memoir, The Woman in Me. It is known that her adaptation rights are held by Universal Pictures and the film is entering the preparation process.

When asked about the report, Emma Roberts did not know the news. But if that was true, he said playing Britney Spears was a dream.

"A beautiful dream for me to play Britney Spears. That's a rumor, but I hope maybe that can happen," said Emma Roberts quoting Cosmo.

I mean, I remember locking myself in the room and listening to (album) In the Zone. I said 'I can't leave this room until I memorize all the lyrics', Roberts explained.

Emma Roberts' name was mentioned by Britney Spears' assistant, Felicia Culotta when asked who the actress was suitable for Spears. According to Culotta, Roberts' career has similarities to Spears, where they started a career at a children's show on television.

Culotta also suggested Timotchalamet play Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Drew Barrymore's ex-lover to play himself. Culotta has been working for Spears since 1997.

The memoir book by Britney Spears, The Woman in Me will be adapted in the form of a big screen medium. The adaptation rights are held by Universal Pictures and will reportedly be carried out by producer Marc Platt and director Jon M. Chu.

Quoting Variety, Universal won the right to a memoir that became the best-selling book in October 2023. Sold 2.5 copies, this book tells the journey of Spears' career from the Mickey Mouse Club to the conservatory case with his father.

Until now, the production house has not announced who will play Britney Spears.
