China Masters 2024, Indonesia Nirgelar Setelah Duanda Putra Jadi Runner Up

JAKARTA - Indonesia failed to win the title at the 2024 China Masters. This situation occurred after the last representative in the men's doubles, Sabar Karyaman/Mohammad Reza only finished in the runner-up position.

Appearing in the final which was held at the Shenzhen Gymnasium on Sunday, November 24 evening WIB, Sabar/Reza faced South Korean representatives, Jin Yong/Seo Seung Jae.

In this decisive round, Sabar/Reza lost in two straight games. Both were left behind with the final scores of the twins 16-21 and 16-21.

Since the beginning, the world number 13 doubles has often made a series of mistakes so that they are left behind by the South Korean pair. Had closed the distance to 3-4, Sabar/Reza then fell behind until the initial interval belonged to the South Korean representative with a score of 11-6.

After the break, the dominance of Jin/Seo Numbers continued, but Sabar/Reza also did not want to give up until they were able to be three points apart. Unfortunately, Sabar/Reza could not get close because the mistakes made them fall behind 16-21 at the end of the first game.

The second game was immediately marked by points from two pairs. From the 2-2 draw, Sabar/Reza were then 3-6 behind. Even though they had chased but in the second interval Sabar/Reza fell behind again at 8-11.

Jin/Seo immediately added two points after taking a break and being patient/Reza did not remain silent. The couple, who once lived in the PBSI national training, continued to try to get points and cut the distance.

Patience/Reza had locked Jin/Seo at number 20 for a while, but the Indonesian pair had to settle for the runner-up title at the 2024 China Masters after losing 16-21 in the second game.

This result made Indonesia fail to win the title, because the previous representative, Jonatan Christie, who appeared in the men's singles, was also detained in the runner-up position.
